Expand I have an outbreak, what do I do?

The good news is, OXY Wash can be used every day and OXY Face Scrub 2-3 times per week to help fight against daily breakouts. Skin renews itself every 6 weeks, so that means tackling any spots with OXY Face Wash and OXY Anti Spot Balm for every day skin maintenance. OXY Body Wash can be used every time you take a shower. The OXY Treatment Range is suitable for those stubborn pimples and can be applied as per directions on product packaging.
Expand When should I use the OXY Treatment Creams?

OXY Treatment creams contain Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO) for mild, moderate and/or severe causes of acne. The OXY Treatment Range can be used on a daily basis. Use OXY 5 Vanishing Cream to treat every day pimples, OXY 5 Camouflage for hiding and treating those embarrassing spots and OXY 10 Vanishing Cream (extra strength formula) for more stubborn pimples.
Expand What happens if Benzoyl Peroxide dries out my skin?

If you are experiencing dry skin as a result of using the OXY Treatment Range it is recommended that you discontinue or reduce the frequency of use. If you are using the creams everyday reduce this to 2-3 times per week. Remember, the OXY Treatment Range is to be applied only to the affected skin area.

Acne vulgaris (also known as acne, blemishes, pimples, spots or zits) is a common skin disease, affecting more than 85% of people at some time during their lives. It most often affects adolescents during puberty.

Acne is characterised by non-inflammatory comedones (whiteheads and blackheads), and by inflammatory pustules and nodules in its most severe form. It affects the areas of skin with the densest population of sebaceous glands. It is readily treatable, and important to treat early.
Expand What are the differences in acne between males and females?

Acne can affect both young men and women, with males more likely to experience more severe, longer lasting forms of acne. This is mainly due to an increase in male sex hormones for both sexes during puberty. In males this can cause an increase in the size of sebaceous glands, oil secretion and skin cell production. For young men, acne will normally settle down by their early 20s.

No. Mentholatum’s products are not tested on animals. The ingredients in all OXY formulations are either derived from plants or synthetically manufactured and none have been derived from animals.

Terms and Conditions

This is a legal agreement between you and Mentholatum Australasia Pty Ltd. By ordering a product sample ("Sample") from this site or subsequently using a Sample, you agree to all of the terms of this Agreement.

1.
This sampling offer is open to residents of Australia only.
2.
Sampling offer commences on 23 July 2012 and will continue until advised or until stock of any or all sample(s) is exhausted (Offer Period).
3.
To receive an OXY sample, a claimant must register their name, email address, phone number and residential address on the website, www.oxy.com.au.
4.
Sample is not to be resold.
5.
Limit one sample pack per request.
6.
Each valid claim received during the Offer Period will receive one sample of OXY Face Wash and one sample of OXY Anti-Spot Balm if available upon request. If the requested sample is unavailable, Mentholatum Australia Pty Ltd maintains the right to alter the sample product on offer. The sample will be sent to the claimant at the residential address set out in the claim. Please allow up to 28 days for samples to be delivered.
7.
The Promoter's decision is final & no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility will be taken for late, lost, indecipherable or misdirected claims.
8.
Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the claimant's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. All entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission by the claimant.
9.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (including liability arising under the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) in relation to supply of products, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the sample offer, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter's control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter.

If the sample offer is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any claimant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the sample offer, as appropriate.
11.
Claimants' personal information ("PI") will be collected to enable the Promoter to administer this sample offer. The PI of the claimant may be provided to others assisting, including sample suppliers and deliverers, and to relevant authorities. If the PI requested is not provided, the claimant may not participate in the sample offer. A request to access, update or correct any personal information should be directed to Mentholatum Australasia Pty Ltd, 12-16 Janine Street, Scoresby Victoria, 3179, by phone on 1800 033 289 or by email to enquiries@mentholatum.com.au. If a claimant does not truthfully provide all requested PI, the Promoter may determine the claimant is not eligible to participate in the sample offer and receive a sample.
